the story of us....
We met in 2001 after Tom went snowboarding with mutual friends. We sipped Guinness at the Brew Pub on Main and I tried to get him to dance. He was probably really annoyed, but that didn't stop me from incessantly nagging him to take me out. He is horrible at darts and I'm not too handy with a chisel, but somehow it all worked out.
I took him to his first hockey game (weird, right?) and he is constantly trying to get birds to land on my shoulder in the woods (even weirder). We've spent the years camping, hiking, biking, cooking, eating, laughing, and heading to countless concerts and Sabres games. Together we have become great urban gardeners and are dabbling in farming with hopes for an agricultural future. While I pass the time making pizza pies, Tom is busy cutting heavy timbers for fancy vacation homes.
Tom asked me to marry him while visiting Toronto for Valentine's Day in 2011. I think I kind of knew it was coming - he planned a fantastic weekend in TO after 8 years of not really planning a thing! I was still very surprised when he dropped to one knee in front of the Hockey Hall of Fame (of all places!). We spent the weekend giggling and walking around the city. It was freezing but we didn't seem to mind at all.
We can't wait to share our special day with our family and friends! Check back to this site as I attempt to include every morsel of information you could ever need to know regarding our marriage and life beyond.
When you see me in person, please remember to make fun of me for creating this ultra nerdy webpage.
